Occasionally though, the choirs may be located toward the back of the sanctuary, upstairs and behind the back of where the congregation is located. (Sources of observation Byzantine and Armenian Catholic).

 

Also, the congregation may occasionally be seated in pews depending on the parish. (Source of observations Greek at least, and Armenian Catholic had chairs).
