What Is This Symbol?

Byzantine

Recommended Posts

It's a green Cross in a circle, in a silver Cross, with swords crosed behind it. There's kind of a diamond-shaped field, which is multiple shades of yellow. What is it? Thanks!

Need picture. Sounds like some kind of Celtic symbol, from the way you described it.

The  Order of St. Lazarus uses a green maltese cross. The crosses on the flag and arms are green as well, thus I don't think it's has anything do do with the Order of St. Lazarus unless its some kind of affiliation deal, which I doubt.

It can be some generic symbol used as decoration with no meaning. It would be helpful to know where and on what Byz saw this on.

Resembles many medals. I believe the photo is upside down. One example is the French Croix de guerre.

I'm all but certain that it's right side up. It's on a shirt some relatives sent me; they said something like that I might be familiar with it. I think it might be associated with either Baron von Steuben or the Franciscans, as I think I saw it on an FUS sports team's shirt. It's definitely not St. Lazarus.

Well, seems like you already know the answer.
