Vetting A Website And A Monsignor

And has anyone ever heard of Monsignor John Esseff?

I have heard of Fr. Esseff. In fact, I went on a retreat with him while I was in seminary. He is a real person. And many of my brother seminarians said he could read their souls in confession, in a manner similar to Padre Pio or St. John Vianney. I did not go to him for confession or spiritual direction during that retreat, but it seems entirely plausible to me that he is a very holy man. He is certainly a real person. :)

 

As for locutions, I do not pay attention to them because if they are not addressed to me then they are not for me to hear until the Church decides that they are.

I don't know how locutions "work" exactly. But I know at least where apparitions are concerned, I am always a doubter whenever Jesus or Mary come and are "chatty."

The fact that he posts about his stuff being private revelation and that there's no need to believe him is a good sign.  I'm skeptical, but he seems to be harmless.
