ToJesusMyHeart
the171 proposed going to the Shrine of the Bl. Sacrament. Proposal approved. Add that to the list. We'll probably stop there on the way back.

Kateri89
I've never been on a nun run. How much time is spent with each order?
the171
Usually a few hours and then there are the communities you stay with for the night.
ToJesusMyHeart
I've never been on a nun run. How much time is spent with each order? It just depends how busy the Sisters are whenever you want to visit them. Last year, for some communities we only stayed for 2 hours or so, but for others we spent the night with them. It varies. Kateri89
I'd love to come but I can't do the whole thing. I'd like to at least try seeing the Ohio orders though if I can :)
Alberto Guimaraes
I'm organizing a Nun Run this May. I want to go from TX, through LA, through MS, through AL, TN, KY, and end in Ohio. Which communities should I visit? 10 is probably the limit. 1) SSEW 2) Nashies 3) Sisters of Reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus 4) Franciscan Daughter of Mary, Pro-Life Missionaries 5) Carmelites in Jackson, MS 6) Frans TOR TELL ME MORE. :) Peace and Good! Humbly I ask your pardon to my ignorance: what is a «Nun Run»?
the171
A nun run is where you take a few friends and maybe a chaplain and you pretty much go on a road trip visiting communities.
Chiquitunga
Louisville Carmel!!! They're a very good community from all I have heard and who says you can't visit two Carmels?! :smile3: There's very little about them online, here is something - http://www.archlou.org/departments-and-services/agencies-facilities/vocations/discernment-for-women/ & a picture of their Extern - http://www.parish-without-borders.net/cditt/ontheroad/2010/JulyTrip/JulyTrip-l21-22.htm It'd be cool if you went there and could report back about them on PM, as they are so little known :like: There's also - http://www.ssjw.org/
