Political Compass

So I'm probably asking for trouble, but I thought it'd be fun to see where everyone fits on the political compass quiz. :)

I'll put everyone on a chart so we can compare.  It'll be fun! Right?

I'm doing the test now. I sure wish some of the questions were more clear and weren't so confusing (Which I can't help but think is probably on purpose).

Yeah, I think they try to do a decent job of having some statements that lean one way and others another, in hopes of being more neutral overall.

It really asks weird questions, though, and they are way too generic. For instance, the question on whether or not we should restrict businesses because they cannot be trusted to protect the environment, my question is, on what level? The Federal level? Under no circumstance. But what about the State level?

Haha, they're intentionally vague like that. You have to go with whether you agree or disagree more with that statement. :)

The things I felt strongly about I made sure to indicate, so as to help when I came to a tossup question.

Interesting test. This is my result, which is fairly amusing to me as I usually align myself with Liberal right-wing policies :)

Economic Left/Right: -4.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.64

The outcome was not completely accurate because the questions were weird, but I am a "Get off my property" wielding libertarian with apparently some leftist tendencies on social issues, though that is because it wouldn't make proper distinctions which are important to make.

In all, the testing format is pretty much a big failure, and they should make the questions easier, more distinct, and the results easier to understand.

Your numbers, sir? :) Unless you're going to be grumpy and not play with the rest of us.  :hehe2:

But I didn't agree with either answer.

All righty, so far...

When it comes to my political views, I like to describe as the merging of (Most of) Ron Paul's economic views and (Most of) Bono's social views. "Most of" meaning I agree with his humanitarian work, but I think the government should have no part of it.

Here are my plot points: -3.88, - .15

I've taken this test before and my score changes a bit every time.
