Dave
I had read about how in all these Eucharistic miracles as well as the Shroud, they've always found type AB blood. For some reason it always seemed so right that Jesus should have type AB, yet I didn't really know why. Now I know, as I was thinking more biologically than theologically! Dusty Fro
The universal recipient thing is clever. I think it would make more sense for Him to be a Universal blood donor though The Shroud of Turin is very interesting indeed
qfnol31
Isn't there something else which has Jesus' blood on it?
Ellenita
Isn't there something else which has Jesus' blood on it?
Are you talking about the veil which Catholic tradition says was used by a woman to wipe Jesus face when He fell while carrying the cross? It's known as Veronica's veil and the piece of cloth claimed to be this has been tested and contains the same blood type as the Turin Shroud. It's also been dated to the time of Jesus. Anna
There are quite a few miracles of the Eucharist which involve the Blood of Christ.
MParedon
The universal recipient thing is clever. I think it would make more sense for Him to be a Universal blood donor though The Shroud of Turin is very interesting indeed
You know...I thought about it for a while And I had a blank expression on my face. But you know, it makes sense, especially if you take the Eucharist into consideration. Jesus was the universal recipient of our sins, the sins that make our bodies weak. He had his own body sufferred for them (Body, blood) As for being the universal donor...Jesus saves by the power of God, He is a divine donor [so to speak] (soul and divinity) Did I make sense b/c sometimes I come off as a little touched in the head , but I really like this theory
Ash Wednesday
Hah! I always wondered if the blood types on the miracles matched...so they do. Touche!
