Ice_nine
Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings. I feel like there's so many shootings and bombings though that just about every day is an anniversary of *something*

PadrePioOfPietrelcino
If you haven't seen the video of it happening on Facebook, I don't recommend watching it without prudential judgement first. It really isn't the easiest video I've ever watched. I don't ever like watching videos of people being injured. Knowing it happened is enough to make me pray, seeing it happen does not help. I've seen too much in my life.
FutureSister2009
Wasn't yesterday also the anniversary of the Titanic? Not that that was a crime, just the crime of an iceberg. And today is Pope Emeritus Benedict's birthday
BG45
Just talked to K., our local runner in the department. He didn't go to Boston yesterday, but he knew two people locally who did. One of their family members had some hearing loss after the blast they were semi-near, but otherwise, shaken up but fine.
CrossCuT
I dont know why this incident hit me so hard in particular, but Ive been feeling down all day because of it. Especially after seeing pictures of the 8 year old boy who died. I dunno...I dont know whats happening to the world...shootings, stabbings, and now bombings? People cant even go out and enjoy a marathon with their friends without the fear of violence? What a Godless world we live in I need a pick-me-up today.
PhuturePriest
I want to share this simple, beautiful image. This is Martin Richard, 8, who was killed in yesterday's attack. His sister and mother are critically injured. His message, "No more hurting people--Peace" is something we should all seek to honor, and remember him by. CatherineM
Ok. Let's stop speculating and listing anniversaries. That is not the point of this thread. The point is to share updates and prayers. kthnxbye People grieve in different ways. Trying to figure out who and why is a common way for people to try to come to grips with the reality of what happened. The anniversaries I mentioned were very apt to the conversation. If you don't like my comments, put me on ignore.
krissylou
My cousin's convent moved from Roxbury to Duxbury last September. She hasn't returned my email, but she's a nurse who runs towards explosions or earthquakes, so I don't expect her to immediately. Oh, Sisters of St. Margaret. They're good peeps. If she went to Duxbury with most of them, they're way way far away.
