Another Question About Job Ethics

I was recently hired for doing data entry and maybe other office tasks such as filing for temp work whenever a company needs someone. When an assignment is available, I'm asked if I want to take it or not.

I'm cautious about taking an assignment with an insurance company, hospital, or pharmacy because I may have to enter data or keep track of files for those using medical insurance to cover contraceptives, sterilizations, and abortions. Should I not take assignments at such places since I'm sort of helping with immoral acts?

It isn't our place to make judgments about other people's healthcare. There are situations where oral contraceptives are allowed to be taken, such as unmarried women with obgyn issues. There are sterilizations done to preserve health. There is a reason why the Church teaches about the principle of double effect.

Almost any job can touch on something the Church considers immoral. How about the kid at McDonald's making a hamburger for someone getting ready to have extramarital sex. There were times I was called upon to represent a drunk driver or convicted killer. I did my job with compassion and without judgment. Making judgments should be left to God.
