dUSt
I'm moving the Defense Directory out of the phorum, and onto the main site. For you nerds, I am changing from an Invision Board based plugin to a Wordpress based plugin. Two reasons: 1. I want the phorum software to be as stable and upgradeable as possible, so by sticking with the default standard software package, it insures that no plugin compatibility/performance issues occur with the phorum. In other words, I will no longer get the "please disable all plugins" response from the Invison technical support. 2. Wordpress is more widely used than Invision, and the most popular open source CMS system in existence. This means better and more widely available plugin options. Here's a sneak peek: http://www.phatmass.com/defense-directory/ Anybody want to volunteer their time to helping? This time around, it will not be as massive an overhaul, because I'm thinking that we should limit the articles to maybe the top ten apologetic sites. I'm tired of broken links and obscure URL's that are not established. I'd rather have a smaller more functional Defense Directory than a massive broken one. dUSt
you can count on me, boss. :) Great! Let's come up with the top ten most orthodox and established apologetics sites that we'll be limiting the articles to. If all other factors are equal, I'd opt for the ones that are most readable. I am one of those people that will rarely read something if the site hurts my eyes and design sensibilities.

FutureCarmeliteClaire
I will help! I think some of us did something similar about a year ago, correct?
dUSt
Yes. But this time will be easier because we are limiting it to specific, established, sites. We need a list. I'll go first. - Catholic Answers http://www.catholic.com/ - Scripture Catholic http://www.scripturecatholic.com/ - Phat Catholic Apologetics http://phatcatholic.blogspot.com/ - Catholic United for the Faith http://www.cuf.org/ What else? Nihil Obstat
Make sure to blacklist anything written by Ron Conte. :| ESPECIALLY for eschatology. On the other hand, if there are online sources by Desmond Birch they should definitely be included for eschatology and private revelation. Canonlaw.info should be an approved site if there are any questions related to canon law. EWTN usually has a lot of good info. Adoremus.org is good, I think. Ah... I have one article on CatholicCulture.org in my bookmarks, but for some reason I am hesitating in remembering if the rest of the site is good or not. Maybe someone remembers why I might be thinking that.
dUSt
It would also be helpful if said sites already had apologetics articles categorized, so we didn't have to search and find.
