Book Suggestions - Very Specific Ones

I have these friends and it is their birthday tomorrow, and I've known them since I was little but I don't know them all that well. But I've seen more of them lately and they invited me to their bday get together/dinner with a bunch of friends (today. and it was tonight) and I felt bad that I didn't have a gift. But here's the deal: they have MA in protestant theology, but are very knowledgeable (through their own research) of the Catholic church and faith. I think that with enough exposure to it, they would be perfect candidates for conversion. Today, one of them was at my workplace and we were talking about the pope and doctrine and things. He brought up transubstantiation even.

I was thinking of sending them two books (they're twins, btw, very close ones). I wanted it to be ones that they have probably not read. They have read Humanae Vitae, so it definitely does not have to be easy reading.

I was thinking maybe something by Chesterton or Ratzinger or Newman? I don't want it to be anyone like Scott Hahn or Jimmy Akin.

SO... Anyone have suggestions?

There's a book called the essential reading of Pope Benedixt XVI. or something like that. Maybe something like that?

That looks like a really a good one. I was also looking at the God of Jesus Christ, but I really want to get two different authors. I think yours is a better one. More valuable as a resource. if they are interested in reading more they can know where to look.

And it would give a wide array of his work. :)

What about something from Thomas Howard? Or a book called The New Faithful a return to orthodoxy (or something)

This is the most non-specific request to a very specific request I've ever seen.
