TeDeum
In case some of you haven't seen this already... This last Saturday the University of Nebraska had their annual Red vs. White scrimmage which marks the end of spring practices. As some of you may know college athletes are regular visitors to hospitals, especially children's hospital's, where they visit patients who are fans of their teams to try and raise their morale. One of our (now former) running backs developed a special bond with a child named Jack Hoffman. Jack has had brain cancer for much of his short life and is a huge Nebraska fan. Towards the end of the scrimmage they let Jack suit up, gave him the ball, and let him run 69 yards for a touchdown. Afterwards both sides ran into the end zone to celebrate with him. Here's the youtube video of it that has gotten almost 3 million views: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Jmisv1Spck And here's one of how it looked on TV, the way most people saw it for the first time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jBSq42sh8c
PhuturePriest
That's pretty awesome. I love how they actually counted the score. I wonder if this will be a new way for teams to get free touchdowns?
