This thread is about naming threads appropriately, despite the title of this thread.

It is bad etiquette, and some would say rude, to title a thread something that doesn't let the reader know what the topic is about.

Can we increase the character limit for thread titles, so that I can submit a title along the lines of "A proposed discussion on the topic of relevant similarities and differences between the Premonstratensian Rite and the Curial Use of the Roman Rite at the time of the Council of Trent"?
That thread will not get any replies, but at least the title would be appropriate to the topic. :proud:

Please decrease the character limit for titles. That would require people to be more succinct in summing up their threads.

Given the tip on etiquette given in this thread, can the title of this thread be renamed to something that suggests the nature of the thread?

Why was my thread moved? The title was an extremely accurate depiction of the thread contents. This is oppression at its cruelest.
