Non Frumpy Swimsuits

I don't buy boy shorts. I think they're uncomfortable. And apparently meant for boys? I wear this because it's comfortable and gets the job done:

I think the suits are listed are all very cute. Missy mentioned that they may show too much thigh for some. For me personally the thigh is fine though they do show a bit much on top. I bought a bathing suit with that sort of neckline, then I saw the pictures of me in it and probably won't wear it again. I wouldn't be bothered if someone else wore one and certainly wouldn't make comments to that person, but I would probably feel uncomfortable wearing one. Not all of them are really low.... I guess it depends in how much you have "upstairs" too.

I Used to wear this kind, I wish I still could, but for those of us who have some extra padding on the sides, I can testify that the crisscross in the back is placed very nicely to make things pop out where you wouldn't want them too ;)

I have a little extra in all the awkward places, so I have to be picky with bathing suits.

Don't worry, I do too.... I'm not really large, but just put together oddly. I tried on whole stores before finding something that worked. Also because I hadn't worn a bathing suit in a long time and had to figure out what styles
I could and couldn't wear. I finally settled on a tankini with gathered sides (that's the one I decided may show a little too much cleavage), and a sports suit that is covered in the back up to my shoulder blades. ;)

I think the word you were searching for is "strange". :like:

I've 60 pounds of excess padding (that I'm working on losing for the sake of my health) and I still wear it. Is there more pudge to it than I and most others would like to witness? Yes. But I don't really care. If someone is THAT focused on my back buldge, they shouldn't be hanging out at the pool and/or beach.

Ah, now the I've read the rest of this thread I see that my comment was unnecessary, that FP and others already addressed the situation, and that Mortify very gracefully apologized and bowed out. Edittttttt
