Nihil Obstat

I did not murder a single person today. If that is not reason to feel good about myself, then I do not know what is.

I attended an Apologetics class today, taught by a very zealous, animated, South Korean priest and I didn't think of Psy once! :smile2:

One time when I was a kid, our parish was merged with the local Korean parish with the Korean priest, so a two parishes in one building kind of deal. But apparently the Korean parish turned on him because he would not prioritize them over everyone else, so they left. We kept their priest.

He was pretty cool.

We keep kimchi at the bar that a work at and it's like the one thing we don't lock down.  To quote a co worker it smells like the devil's a**.  I am proud of myself for praying the rosary yesterday.  And going the whole day without painkillers (Just had teeth extracted most ppl would have continued the painkillers yesterday).

You, DS, are a stronger woman than I....  Impressive.

Closest thing I did in my long life, DS, was one point when we had a saintly, tall, dark and handsome priest at our parish.  He was studying English and living at the parish while in school  He had a VERY strong Eastern European accent.

It was really, really hard not to react when Father would hold up the Chalice with the Precious Blood, with great devotion, extend the Chalice very reverently as he said:

"THE BLOOOOOOD of CHRRIIIIIIIST"

Reverent as we all wanted to be, you really had to steel yourself to not react.   It was SO HARD not to giggle.

Please believe me, this was not in ANY way an act of disrespect for Jesus in the Precious blood... but it was SO HARD... So very hard...DS..... and we all loved Jesus SO MUCH, and Father was SO REVERENT.... but ....)

(And I know Jesus understood....)
