havok579257
My sister was born catholic but has not attended mass except maybe one or two times since she was in middle school/high school. She is obviously not having a catholic wedding. They are doing the wedding in the backyard with her finacees pastor. Now she wants me to be a groomsman in her wedding and my son to be in her wedding some how. I need to know if I am allowed to be in her wedding or not. I want to know what the church teaches on this since I want to be certain when I talk to her because if I am not supposed to be in her wedding this is going to cause issues between my sister and I and my parents and I. cappie
There is nothing wrong with attending such a wedding. As long as your family know of the difficult situation you are in and that you are participating because of the love for your family, then I think all is OK. I think Charity trumps all :proud:
