the171
latin paired with french ..all side by side like... i know, I'm the best ever. I can't take an ebook with me to France.
Nihil Obstat
I had already googled. I have been eyeing this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/102464779/leatherbound-missal-book-in-french-and?ref=usr_faveitems. But I am worried that it won't have Latin paralleled with the French. I was hoping some of y'all maybe knew of something. Ah well. I guess I'll get that one. I have about the amount I would need to purchase this. According to the description it is parallel. However, this one is also not the 1962 version, so the Holy Week liturgy will be noticeably different. I believe that will be the only notable difference though. Aloysius
A bit harder to track down than I expected. There is one I am seeing mentioned called the Missel Quotidien Saint-Joseph. I cannot find current printings of it, but a used one is probably not too difficult to get. Here is an Amazon link. YMMV, since it is only linking to independent sellers. http://www.amazon.com/Missel-Quotidien-Saint-Joseph-S-O-Cist-Hoever/dp/B000B9UWE4 This one appears to be the 1956 version, so the major difference will be in the Holy Week liturgies. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002CRJJQK/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used Possibly helpful links on Abe Books: http://www.abebooks.co.uk/book-search/title/missel-quotidien/sortby/3/page-1/ And an Ebay link: http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_nkw=Missel%20Quotidien%20Saint%20Joseph%20Black%20Canvas%20Zippered%20Cover%20for%20French%20Bible&_itemId=300785795349 wouldn't a '56 missal include the '55 Holy Week changes? anyway, those seem to be the only good leads so far haha, I checked out MIkolbes and they're either too old (1791 haha, but at least it's actually "Tridentine" more properly :P) or too new (the III indicates it's the Novus Ordo Third Edition I think). I can't find nothing, and I had expected it to be much easier. tracking down my Latin-Irish missal was difficult, but you'd think there'd be one in print for French (though I'd expect maybe just an SSPX related publisher, but I haven't even found something like that)

Nihil Obstat
Ah, yes. Al is right. Lol. Oh! I think I have found a current print of the 1962 Missal. http://www.laprocure.com/informations/Les_missels.html Scroll down until you see: Les missels selon la forme extraordinaire du rite romain (dit missel de saint PieV)
Nihil Obstat
Another one, also posted on that first link, but through an English site. About $50. http://www.newmanbookstore.com/node/27187
Nihil Obstat
Looks like you will have a fair bit of luck Googling missel quotidien 1962.
Aloysius
yes the 1957 missal will have the correct Holy Week, its liturgical calendar will probably still include old octaves and such, though, which shouldn't get much in the way of being able to follow Sundays and Feast Days. the ebook MIKolbe's peddling is novus ordo though :P

Nihil Obstat
I guess I'll be sweet talking my mom and saving money. That is about the same price you would be looking at for a new English-Latin 1962 Missal as well, if you need to frame it in that way.

That is what I was planning on saying. I imagine she will respond, "So you have a New Roman Missal, an English-Latin 1962 missal, and now you want this one? What are you? A collector?" Nihil Obstat
That is what I was planning on saying. I imagine she will respond, "So you have a New Roman Missal, an English-Latin 1962 missal, and now you want this one? What are you? A collector?" :idontknow: There are much worse things to collect. Illegal narcotics, for instance. And also bombs. I am slowly trying to build up a collection of antique Catholic prayer books and missals. I have a few that belonged to my great aunt, and originally I believe her mother as well. So quite old. There really is nothing like it.
