Tufsoles
Honestly nurses get used to it. When I was sick they kept trying to make me go in a thing over the toilet they called a "hat"- so they could examine my performance afterwards. Generally did as told with most things, but drew the line at the hat. They called me "non- compliant." Because of the hat but also because I was sneaking on the elevator to steal hospital pantaloons. from the other floors (I was on a no-pantaloons ward ) Oh you're one of those peeps. Hospital gowns aren't that great anyways. Yeah, I know peeps that have stolen the scrub pants numerous times. Surprisingly pretty easy to get a hold of. esp. if you know what your doing and obviously you knew what you were doing. The hat was to measure the urine output and to see if you are getting enough fluids and to see if there is blood or the urine is another color other than yellow. So yeah. When My mom was sick 5 years ago. I became that angry family member when she was in the ICU. I was still a CNA but I came to visit her and I saw a small stain of blood on her linens. I went Batty and Bonkers. I was livid. They told she needed to request a linen change. I told them my butt and It was fudging standard nursing practice.I told them she is severely sick and she doesn't need to ask, It was expected to have her bed linens no matter what. Let's put it this way I made sure that they never heard the end of that. Plus, Its considered passive neglect.

I was glad to. I'll be gone all of next week, but I'll be sure to check up with everyone throughout it whenever I can.

Like clockwork they would go yammer together about what had happened in the day so far - that's when I knew the coast was clear. Nothing like a pair of pants to make lying in bed all day feel like vaycay. p.s. kudos to you for sticking up for your mom. last thing a sick person wants to do is "ask" for stuff.
