Apotheoun
The video below is a condensed (excerpted) version of the Mysteries of the Jesus Prayer documentary. The producers of the documentary visit monastic communities from Egypt and Sinai in the south to Ukraine and Russia in the north: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7tGbxf78Sc
Amppax
I watched that documentary in a class. It was quite good. I really like the random monk at the first monastery (in Egypt?) who spoke perfect English. The monasteries in Greece were so cool! Especially the ones that were on mountaintops. Are you talking about the soft spoken monk who sounded like he was from Australia?

Apotheoun
Thank you for posting the video Apo! You're welcome. The full video is about two hours long and well worth purchasing. I showed it to my mother in May 2012 and she was moved by what she saw. Personally I think it played a role - albeit a small one no doubt - in my mom's decision to convert to Byzantine Catholicism on 16 July 2012, about three weeks before her death.
