Anastasia13
If I don't work for a politician and end up just doing CPA/Non-profit administration, does something like this offer much value?
4588686
Any work experience is helpful. But since I think you're more conservative politically they may be a bit sparse to come by as republicans tend not to have as extensive a ground game, plus this isn't an election year. Non-profit/NGO work is different in many ways from campaign work. But anything helps. What speficially are you looking for?

Whether or not I should do it while trying to get into an accredited upper division college course. I can PM you some more info. Your box is full though. EcceNovaFacioOmni
Campaign volunteers tend to be college students or recent grads, most of them trying to pay their dues and get a job in policy. It's lots of work, long hours, and often no pay. They're also, as you might expect, typically pretty committed ideologically. True believers willing to put up with campaign life. You'll have to decide if that describes you.

EcceNovaFacioOmni
What is involved in this ideology of which you speak? Political staffers tend to be pretty committed on the right of left, true believers you could say. If politics doesn't really get you going, it might be frustrating. 4588686
CPA work and non-profit work have little to nothing to do with campaign work. This is very true. That's not to say that being a CPA couldn't be a was to get a position in a campaign. It just has nothing to do with the entry level stuff.
