Alberto Guimaraes
Peace and Good! :saint2: At St. Gemma Galgani Parish - Belo Horizonte - Brazil, the year 2010 (I don' t know if this use is following), children went barefoot and dressing a simple white tunic when they made their First Communion. :saint2: Beautiful! Like Moses in front of the burning bush, on Holy Ground and in God' s presence, they left their sandals, in total disposition to step on the Holy Ground of the church and receiving physically, the first time, Our Lord' s presence! :saint2: Here are the pictures of that commovent act: https://picasaweb.go...a?noredirect=1# :pope2: Hoping your comments, I wish you all a Holy and Happy Easter Br. DiscerningCatholic
I actually like being in adoration or Mass barefoot (when appropriate). I actually first had the idea by myself this past summer at Covecrest and thought of the burning bush and Moses' sandals. And the priest then came in barefoot and used the exact same explanation! I don't normally go barefoot during Mass, though.
