let_go_let_God
This isn't lame and it's not hip hop so I don't know where to put this. I'm looking for a source of Free Catholic Stock Art so that I can make some of my own posters for the church I'm working for. I can find "pretty" pictures of things I need, but nothing that I can adapt into digital art. So to all my fellow Catholic artists, any thoughts on where to find such a thing? KnightofChrist
Define what you mean by stock art. Do you mean full color 300 dpi photos? Or line art? Or something else?
let_go_let_God
Full Color 300 dpi photos would be best. God bless- LGLG
KnightofChrist
Full Color 300 dpi photos would be best. God bless- LGLG That, as far as I know, isn't going to be easy. Free but beautiful line art, that can be converted to vector is easy to find. Full color 300 dpi photos will not. I have some saved book marks at home that make have a few. I'll have to see when I get off work.
KnightofChrist
Actually these may help... http://www.stockphotosforfree.com/free-photos/tags/catholic.html?q=x&s=0&np=2&sort=downloads http://www.kozzi.com/s/catholic.html http://www.kozzi.com/search/all/image-vector-video,k=catholic,all,free,match,40,1 http://www.stockfreeimages.com/p1/catholic-church.html http://www.stockvault.net/search/?query=catholic
let_go_let_God
While I will keep these other sites for other projects, I'm specifically looking for a Monstrance from the front. Picky Picky I know. This is why I prefer to take a lot of my own stock photos but I don't feel right going into the sacristy and using the Monstrance from the school chapel where I work. morostheos
Have you tried looking on something like Flikr or other photo sharing sites for photos that have a creative commons license?
morostheos
Here's one I found on Flickr, 300 dpi, CC license :
morostheos
Oooh, or this one!! All rights reserved, but the photographer has given others permission to use the photo for church publications.
Nihil Obstat
Wikimedia Commons might have good stuff available.
arfink
I'd take a camera to adoration with me if you really want. I don't have a problem with taking Jesus' picture. ;)
