Guest
So I'm in mortal sin and haven't been to confession. I've told God sorry and plan to go soon. My question is when one is in mortal sin should they refrain from taking a Palm just like they would refrain from taking the Eucharist ? Since the Palm is a Sacrament. Thanks for the answer. Godbless. Edited March 24, 2013 by Guest
beatitude
A palm is not a sacrament. There are only seven of those - baptism, confession/reconciliation, Holy Communion, confirmation, anointing of the sick, marriage, holy orders. :) A blessed palm is a sacramental in the same way that a rosary or a scapular is. There is a difference. Of course you can have a palm, in the same way that you can continue to pray the rosary or wear a scapular when you need to go reconciliation.
