Evangetholic
Well, before St Charles Lwanga (ora pro nobis) is posted here, I do believe that I can look like humans who are not "black." :p I wish I could remember this painting. And who the saint (or random person) is in it.
Nihil Obstat
Well, before St Charles Lwanga (ora pro nobis) is posted here, I do believe that I can look like humans who are not "black." :P I wish I could remember this painting. And who the saint (or random person) is in it. There is even a Saint Moses the Black. WHOA, HANG ON, I figured it out. You look rather like St. Bernard of Clairvaux. Evangetholic
I actually think the pic in question looked like a photo of Gracie Hall Roosevelt, he was dressed as St Francis of Assisi. Bernard is a favorite of mine though. I think he saved France for the Church (for 700 years)--I don't even resent his difficulties with Eleanor of Aquitaine. Nihil Obstat
This is my favourite depiction of St. Bernard: If I remember correctly, St. Bernard is the one on the far right, Mary's left. I am trying to recall who the others are. St. Thomas Aquinas is in there, as is St. Augustine. I believe St. Bonaventure and St. Duns Scotus are also there. There are six there- I cannot recall who the sixth could have been. Perhaps somebody knows. It is "The Dispute of the Doctors of the Church over the Immaculate Conception". I was lucky enough to see this painting in person, in Florence. Was absolutely blown away by it. I could have stayed, looking at just that one painting, for hours. I would love to go see it again someday. It is the same gallery where Michaelangelo's statue of David is on display.
MIKolbe
I think my current profile pic looks like Don Bosco/Martin Luther. Do you think so? it looks like you are on the toilet and need more fiber in your diet.

I hate that I missed/don't remember this painting.
