Evangetholic
Between my increasing recognition of myself as being dominantly attracted to males, my poor physical health, anxiety issues, and odd impersonableness (I know you don't like me :p ), I sense that this is some kind of call to a sacrificial life, one marked by suffering and deprivation. I speak in human terms, my Jesus has always preserved me from doubting Him and given me consolations spiritually that I can't describe adequately. My Groom has sent me comfort and affirmation from a most unlikely place: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0sILSapUUc What do we think of this Voris? Nihil Obstat
I think it is clear that those who experience homosexual inclinations are being called by our Lord to a particular sort of self-sacrifice and humility. As such, I also think that such people are, in a mysterious but nonetheless real way, particularly close to the Sacred Heart of Christ. Of course you have my prayers for endurance and strength. organwerke
My personal advice for you is this: don't blame yourself or be too harsh on yourself, don't think you are evil or not good for what you feel. Accept yourself as you are, do what you like most (sport, music or other) and try to replace your sufference doing things that give you joy and peace. Try to have the company of good friends so that you don't feel the hardship of being alone. I'd say that rather than putting too much emphasis on self sacrifice (that could led you to depression, as I've seen in some gay catholic persons who couldn't accept their condition and fought against it), try to enjoy all the beauty things in life than can replace the empty spaces in your soul. You're not alone.
Evangetholic
I'm out of props. Thank you both for your responses, but I'm very strange person. I'm very strange human though. I don't beat myself up about anything. I'm actually prone to delusions of grandeur. And as for empty spaces I do not have any. "For zeal for your house consumes me, and the insults of those who insult you fall on me." Psalm 69:9 Honestly Jesus has progressively filled up, since I was five, every nook and cranny in myself where I might otherwise feel loneliness or depression. He and I live in one long and at times very odd conversation. He's given me a very happy life and very close and nurturing relationships with other people. I have no complaints, so far He has made following Him a curiously easy thing--just a little of my will and a very great deal of His Grace and the promptings of the Holy Ghost. (Which of course isn't to claim that I don't sin in thought deed and omission--I'm just not very impressed with my sins. They are common.) Nihil I thank you for you prayers "For the continual prayer of a just man availeth much." And Organwerke I really am grateful for your kind words--and your warning (I tend to go very far, very fast with things). Any thoughts about the video anyone? dUSt
At one time I was also attracted to mail, until they raised the postage prices again. I am almost to the point of switching to UPS.

dUSt
Any thoughts about the video anyone? I told myself a long time ago that I would never watch another Voris video again until all the cheese was gone. The production does not live up to the excellence of the Catholic faith... like bad liturgical music. If you can't do it good, don't do it at all.
