Evangetholic
He seems to be confounding the wholes world. Traditional sources seem very afraid of his "liberalism" and his hostility to the Mass of Ages (hostiiity is not in quotes because until now that's what he's shown, Mass of Ages is not in quotes, because that is what he's shown). Secular sources comment on his "staunch conservatism." Some members of what I call the Normalia (orthodox, pro Novus Ordo Catholics) are distressed by the fact that hasn't a reputation for being much of a whip-cracker regarding dissent. Pro-lifers point out that he didn't do "enough" to oppose abortion. Those who believe that gay marriage is the ultimate emblem of Western decadence have said his opposition to this was "token opposition" in nature. Everyone seems to want to pick on my Pope. I find it upsetting. Papa Francisco, I know you are reading this, I offer you my obedience and my filial love. If they are all after you, from all sides, then perhaps you are where you should be. I would like to see you continue Pope Benedict's restoration of the old Mass to its place of wide availability and prominence (because it nurtured at least fifteen centuries of saints and because it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen)--but still I trust you because I trust God. You are the leader of the Christian Church, the Infallible and Sovereign Pontiff, it is necessary unto salvation for every human creature to be submitted to you. I'll pray that God keeps His guidance ever near you Holy Father. And in the insurrection I feel is coming (has already come if the voices that are criticizing you before your Pontificate even really begins represent the majority) I'll be your twenty-first century Papal Zouave a loyal soldier fighting for the Glory of God, His Church, and Her Pontiff. tl;dr Back up off my Pope yo'. If you hear a thing being accused of being too tall and too short, too red and too green, too bad in one way and too bad also in the opposite way, then you may be sure that it is very good. – G.K.
