BarbTherese
Daily prayers to the Holy Spirit for our Pope Francis (no Roman numeral) especially from priests, religious (most especially contemplatives) and those discerning and all others - he has uneviable tasks ahead of him at a troubled time in the life of The Church. His motto is "pittiable but chosen" and in choosing Francis, prayer that he brings to the fore of his pontificate and to the administration in Rome those qualities and marks of St Francis of Assisi "poverty, humility, simplicity and rebuilding". maximillion
There is discussion about the Francis being 'of Assisi' or St Francis Xavier.....the latter being a Jesuit saint. Or could be both. He himself has not yet specified.
OnlySunshine
The next few days are going to be very trying on the new pope, I'm sure. We must continue to pray for him as he begins to exercise his new ministry as the Vicar of Christ. http://www.cnn.com/2013/03/14/world/europe/vatican-new-pope/index.html
