Fidei Defensor
In my experience, considering fish a meat is pretty unusual and very Western. In the Jewish laws of kashrut, fish is "parve", meaning neither meat nor dairy, just like eggs, vegetables, fruits, grains, etc. Traditionally, I suppose. However, to my biologist mind, fish are fleshy just like any other animal.
Debra Little
the morning star products are very good. and i eat them any time of the year, lent or otherwise. it's not meat it's a meat substitute and it's made from veggies. love their veggie burgers. tried the boca and i didn't like those at all. morning star is much better. i also have falafil at home, a greek to middle eastern veggie burger mix. you can also make veggie balls. and they are super good. slightly spice but not hot spicy. i love the stuff.
