Turning The Clocks Ahead

I'm not because it means sunrise becomes 7:30am making it all the harder to wake up at 6:15 in the morning. When you can just start seeing sunlight peek through at 6:15am it's a lot easier to wake up.

I'm not, either. They steal that hour of sleep from me every year, and I miss it every night until they give it back in the fall.

I wake up too early to care anyway.  Plus I like feeling like the day is longer.  I hate when I leave for work and its dark and then I leave work to come home and its dark.

So do I. The lighter the longer the better.

Last year of grad school I as writing a paper AT 2am.

And the computer hiccupped (literally, the screen kind of quivered) and suddenly...  I HAD LOST AN HOUR.

And I had a big paper due at 8AM on Monday.

I wanted to SCREAM and THROW THINGS!!!!!!

I'd always known it happened, but I had never FELT it happen.

It was a little like an earthquake (and I come from a place  that knows earthquakes....)

Yeah, I survived... and I graduated.

AND.....

I made a point the following October to WAIT UP to get my hour back.

And I had some hot chocolate and just enjoyed my hour's return.

Yeah.

ONLY thing I like about this is it means that I'll be able to walk in the park after work sometimes.  They won't let us go in before 8AM so there's no lure of going out early....

I do hate daylight savings time....

BUT naps are good.  We could plan some naps.....

Autumn Dusk

I don't mind it.  I could use the hour at night.  I'm not awake enough at 5am to enjoy the sunlight.

I certainly don't like "losing" the hour, but I do like the longer days. I also walk in the evenings, and hate doing it when it's dark...

Actually most of Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings to their clock never goes back or ahead. Indiana used to be like  this too until a few years ago.

Just posted the Friday Fly Lady Lenten Challenge... and today's challenge is 'choose a healthy  bedtime and stick to it."

IT'S A BLANKETY-BLANK CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!

On the other hand.. if I go to bed a little earlier, I won't have to WATCH myself lose the hour this year.....  ...  :like3:

OK, I surrender Lord.....

put me to bed, Lord.....   :cloud9:   :sleep3:

On the new, somebody had a really great suggestion. Change it to a Friday instead of Sunday. That way, people have time to adjust and it won't seem as hard, since we all TRY to sleep in on Saturday mornings anways! :)
