P3chrmd
I have no idea why fudamentalists and protestants get the title of "Evangelical" I don't see them evangelizing anything...I mean how can they...most of there time is spent knocking other peoples faiths and ideas! I have seen so many books by a specific author...who claims to be an evangelical...and absolutley NONE Of them talk about his faith and what he believes they are all bashing other faiths...including Catholicism! Well anyways...this was just a thought that occured to me as I was watching Mother Angelica...and wanted to share GOD BLESS Brandon V.
morostheos
I know LOTS of evangelicals that are very much into evangelizing. Don't throw out the whole bushel basket just because of one bad apple.
mulls
so you're making an assumption about an entire group of people, and Christians nonetheless, off of "so many books by a specific author?" very intelligent.
PedroX
My experience would actually show that Evangelicals evangelize a lot more than the average Catholic. Becareful of your words my friend. peace...
Archangel
The most evangelical people I have met are the Mormons.
Dusty Fro
My home church is an Evangelical church. The denomination simply means that they believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God, and that we should share the Gospel with others. You don't have to go knocking on doors to be Evangelical. You can share your faith by bringing up spirituality with a friend or co-worker.
MorphRC
Pax Iesus Christi Doesnt evangelizing mean to spread the word of God everywhere? I thinks thats been done , minus Arab countries as well as a few parts in tribal lands, Amazon, Sri Lanka, some Asia Sea islands, but the majority of people on earth know about Christ and the Gospel, not indepth but they know the basic belief. Also explain to me how you evangelize christians?..LOL Id love to know the protestant doctrine on that. Pax Iesus Christi Paul
Anna
Simple: Catholics aren't Christians. They are pagans. They pray before statues, and worship a cookie as God. They don't read the Bible. They need to be born again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, need to receive the gift of tongues, accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, reject those pagan idols of saints and Mary, and get saved! Correct me if I'm wrong.... -_- (oh, yeah, and quit all that drinkin' and dancin' and confessin' to a priest.) Pax Christi. <><

But to the others...I didn't mean to catagorize everyone in that group! As I said in the post...it was just a random thought I had...I have lots of protestant family and friends who are awsome and have a great realationship with the Lord...it was just an observation on what I have seen most evangelicals doing! Anna
I homeschooled for nine years, and during that time, I became acquainted with a good many evangelicals. Many of them thought I was "one of them," and when they found out I was Catholic, I'd get the above stereotypical judgement.... Also, in my pro-life involvement, I have encountered this same...shall I say...ignorance....of Catholicism? One time a pastor actually assured me of how pro-life his community was, but bowed out of participating in a pro-life function because the Bible says not to unequally yoke yourself with unbelievers. And we all know how Catholic-dominated the pro-life movement is....A good reason to keep out of it.... I can hear the explanation at judgement time: Sorry I didn't defend your little innocent ones who were being led to the slaughter, Lord. I just didn't want to unequally yoke myself with those Catholics! Pardon if I'm sounding goofy...It's 3 AM. -_- Edited May 26, 2004 by Anna

OH boy they just don't know what to do...one actually started to minister to me...I was like...oh boy here it comes! and then after talking and talking he actually had the nerve to say "well I don't know that much about catholicism, Ive never researched it"....and then STILL continued to bash it! OH BROTHER and he preaches to people! WTH!?!?!?
