Kayte Postle
They are a lovely order, they have a lot of information on their website here: http://www.franciscansisterstor.org/ and they also have a fb page: http://www.facebook.com/FranciscanSistersTOR When I start making discernment visits (I'm not catholic yet, so I've got a few years to wait) they are the first community I am going to visit with. Gabriela
I interviewed there for my research. Awesome women. So "real". They're a very "young" order in the sense that you can feel the youth and the "with-it"-ness (for lack of a better term) when you're there. If I ever considered active life, I'd consider them first. (But they are active-contemplative, kinda like the SOLs.)
petitpèlerin
I live sort of in the area and I've met some of them, before I was discerning myself. I really liked them and was sad when it was time for them to go. They were basically born out of Franciscan University and are deeply tied to it, in both the US and the Austria campus. Campus ministry is not their only apostolate but it's a major one, and many of the sisters are alumni. I seriously considered discerning with them because I'm Franciscan and there's so much about their charism that I love, and they're young and vibrant and awesome, but "charismatic" and "praise and worship" are not part of my spirituality, while they are part of theirs, and I knew I needed to find something that matched my own better.
