He was assigned to Boston after the scandals there, and I think he was sent to his previous diocese in the midst of scandal, plus he has the whole Franciscan humility thing going for him, and the reputation for taking over bad situations. He's another I like. I would be happy if Sean Cardinal O'Malley was the new pope! Since I am discerning a possible vocation to Consecrated Virginity, it sticks out to me that he is very much in support of this rare vocation.
