Voting For Voris Is Un Christian And Anti Catholic

Is it wrong for me to think, that when I hear about past scandles or things that have gone wrong in the church or christianty in its self that..I think that we're all human and we're not christ, we are called to be holy and pure, but unfortunately we will never be perfect. When I see these things, I really hope they see what's wrong with what they did and repented but, I forgive them and love them still...I don't let those negative things validate my faith and love for christ...

 

The Church holds us all to her bosom. Christians sin. Christians can radically fail Christ and we can hinder one another's progress in godly growth at times, but it sounds to me like you have a healthy attitude. Look to Christ and look to His Infallible Church; not to we hairless, argumentative, baptized chimpanzees.

But the thing is, so what if you don't find it that remarkable? I find it offensive enough to remark on, and that's enough for it to be a topic for discussion.  I'm not finding a problem with receiving communion on the tongue while kneeling - I'm finding a problem with how Voris specifically connects receiving in the hand while standing with heresy and excommunication.  It's representative of the greater issue I have with most of his work - I find it lacking in charity and seems to easily lead people astray.  And like I said before, I wasn't even asking for people to agree with me.  I was just asking for people to see how I can take such offense to what he's saying...and even that was denied.  

Well if you want a communion in the hand debate, we can do that too, but in the context of a Michael Voris debate it seems like an unnecessary tangent, considering that it is probably among the least controversial opinions that he holds.

Well if you want a communion in the hand debate, we can do that too, but in the context of a Michael Voris debate it seems like an unnecessary tangent, considering that it is probably among the least controversial opinions that he holds.

 

I don't want to start a communion in the hand debate.  I'm criticizing Voris.  If that opinion and the way he expresses it is truly among the least controversial...then shouldn't my reaction to it be taken more seriously?  It's the opposite of an unnecessary tangent.  If my experience of Voris' ministry is to be alienated and offended by the least controversial of his videos, doesn't that make the problems with him greater?

As I said, it is well within your rights to take offense at whatever aspects of his videos you want. But at the end of the day, if we are talking about Voris, I still think that the communion in the hand angle is a fairly irrelevant tangent. That is why I appreciated Evange's critique far more; it dealt with issues much more relevant to Voris specifically.
