4588686
So does this guy just assume stuff and makes videos about it or? Basalisa Maria doesn't make a lot of videos anymore but the few that he did make were full of venom and hyperbole.
Nihil Obstat
So does this guy just assume stuff and makes videos about it or? Michael Voris is actually a robot with a highly complex program which allows 'him' to identify powder-keg issues within the realm of Catholicism. The Voris-Bot then generates a highly controversial script calculated to generate the highest possible amount of butthurt for Basil here. Basically, the Voris Android 10,000 is the best artificial intelligence ever designed. In actuality this whole subject is overblown and very silly. Michael Voris is just a guy who makes videos which many people disagree with. People need to take a few deep breaths and maybe have a nap. My goodness. Basilisa, I do not understand why you are insisting on dragging sexism into this. Not a single person on this forum has written off your opinion because you are female, and I find it slightly insulting to every person here for you to imply that we have done so. Dear, you accidentally dropped the feminine suffix in my username. You'd be full of angst too if you didn't have a seat of power in Voris' new world order. Evangetholic
The Empress hates them loud hairy (oversexed) male brutes, eh? Guys suck. But we are great at football and barbecuing (and keeping our daughters off stripper poles).
Nihil Obstat
You underestimate the depths of my misandry. :| I am highly intolerant of feminism vs. anti-feminism topics right this second because I just finished reading a complete freakout on a rad-trad forum I registered on a while back. Some guy has this paranoid hatred of feminism, and he decided that one female member qualified as a heretical feminist for God knows what reasons, so he then embarked on a crusade to oppose her feminism at every single opportunity, relevant or not. It was embarrassing for the entire forum, and frankly a little bit disturbing. Anyway, I do not think this is relevant, but there you go.
Madiesensei
Goodness, I'm sorry. I just wasn't sure about this video, I'm sort of new to this stuff so. I looked at the debate, and this guy in these videos who is he and is what he's saying extreme? I'm sorry I'm so inquisitive.

For some reason the membership of the forum collectively decided to get into a tizzy about Voris yesterday and today. It is really silly. I would recommend watching his videos and deciding for yourself.
Basilisa Marie
Oh goodness Madiesensei, this is absolutely not your fault. I'm argumentative and bitter, and Nihil and the rest are argumentative and wrong. :) Nihil, sounds like a personal problem. :hehe2: Nah, in all seriousness, I'm peeved because I explain why I find one specific Voris video problematic, because his video has (potentially unintended) harmful effects on faithful (and not so faithful) Catholics, because the way peoples' words are received matters and can result in genuine pastoral problems. My argument's basically ignored because it involves "feelings" and not facts. EmilyAnn writes up a list of general problems with many of Voris' videos in another thread, and she's written off for not citing a specific video. Evangetholic comes along and posts a list of general problems with many of Voris' videos that includes an account of his own experience of perceiving his messages in a negative way, and he's praised for making a reasonable argument. What the what. So yeah. That's why tonight, I'm a glorious female warrior. Edited February 27, 2013 by Basilisa Marie

What the what. I think Evange's post was much more reasonable, thoughtful, and specific than either yours or Emily's. Or, would you rather I say that I feel it was more reasonable, thoughtful, and specific? :| For yours, I simply think you were making a very big deal over a fairly standard position of his. For Emily's I was rather put off by its vagueness.
