I'm Writing A Book

I fell in love with writing when I was about eleven, and I have always had somewhat of a natural talent for it. I finally decided to write a book! I'm not sure how far it will get because I need a lot more for it to become a full book. It's a book I'm (At least currently) titling Christ And Masculinity. It's a book about the true nature of masculinity and why men like the things they do, using men like Christ, the Saints, and other examples like the Samurai in order to do so. Michael Voris would be so proud. :proud:

I won't be sharing any of it unless you ask me to. I have about a page done so far, but I'm quitting because I'm nearing my bedtime I set for myself for Lent...

*Gets inspired to procrastinate*

I know what you're thinking: I'm too young to know about the true nature of masculinity, I probably don't know enough about the subject, etc. These things might be true. But I've always been someone that liked learning as I go, and I will be willing to listen to anyone that would like to critique what I write in there, so it's more of a learning experience than anything else.

Hopefully there will be plenty of tasteful, masculine wrestling matches between the protagonist and his friends that evolve into something more.

There are no characters. It's a theological book.

Make sure you don't run out of crayons

Oh please. Like I would screw up my favorite crayons for something stupid like this. I'm using Word.

May I suggest you write based on your own experiences and not what you believe, think, etc. Then put it into the context of your Catholic faith. Make it personal to you, not on men as a whole. You are only an authority on yourself, not others.

Can you give an example as to what this might look like in practice?

I'd be interested in seeing your scribblings.

Gave up on leaving, aye? ;)

Sure. I'll send you a message with it on there. It's just an outline, really. I'm going to add more and edit what I already have.

Make sure to sit around in Starbucks a lot wearing a scarf, and telling anyone who will listen about how you are writing a book. Better if it was a screenplay, but we will work with what we have.

Starbucks supports Planned Parenthood and gay marriage. I'll sit around Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme instead.

God help me, but I cannot break with Starbucks. I think going qualifies as remote cooperation in evil which is almost impossible to avoid.
