I tried for the first time in years to make a thread that was neither highly provocative nor comedic and it was moved to the lame board. The authoritarian and morally abhorrent actions of the tyrannical mod staff has now shown me that there is neither purpose nor indeed possibility in reforming and bettering myself and that my only recourse is open rebellion and civil disobedience. Perhaps my fate is sealed but on this day and for ever more I shall fight every moment of every day to ensure that my children shall phatmass as free men.

FREEDOM!!!!!!!

Hm. This escalated quickly. It seems to have been moved back when i was courageously standing up to despotism. It was probably the courage and eloquence of my stand that prompted this. And that I asked and the moderators were nice. This thread is now about freedom and the experiences that other people have had using the Internet and social networking sites to job hunt.

You'd save time just going to Wal-Mart and getting the application. They have a computer terminal, there. I think you can fax in a copy of your official transcript.

Most companies receive applications online these days, which is then filtered by Human Resources. I've been burned by this a few times, as I am used to going in and trying to make a good first impression with the actual employer. Does anyone have any advice on beating the HR filters? I really need a job...

No. It was my post of inestimable value, above, that saved your thread from lameness.

Bow to me.

talk to the unemployment office, they can give you free acess to sites that they use to filter resumes and it will help you put the right words in.
