Well. Is it necessary that there be zero risk to fetal life for something to be licit? Need it really be that certain? I know the kind of question this might sound like, but that's not what I'm to. It's an honest question from someone who had a poorly catechized Catholic childhood and only came back to the Church two days ago after a ten year absence.

 

Some people would probably say yes, others no. Seems to me like that's why this question is so tough - there's conflicting scientific evidence, and most of the evidence gets spun one way or another anyway depending on the motives of those presenting the data.

My conscience says caution, but I guess I'm not a relevant party. Not a doctor. Not a Bishop. Not Pope. Not a woman. Not a baby. Not German.

Yes. Think of it like this, I've made you a cake it looks good, smells good and probably tastes good. Onlyone little problemo, it may contain a lethal dose of poison, some studies suggest that it probably will not kill you but their not %100 percent sure, others studies suggest it will likely cause death. How many slices do you want?

Or think about it like this I have a gun filled with what I pretty sure are duds, but I'm not %100 sure. Would you stand in front while I fire off a round or two?

Or going back to my original analogy, you are in charge of imploding a residential building, do you set off the explosives without being %100 sure it is empty of human life?

What if the woman was raped by her husband? Can she take the pill within 5 minutes of the rape?
