The Blessed Virgin's Guide To Modesty

Honestly I've yet to see a reasonably attractive non-related human female under 60 I can't have an impure thought about. I think the danger of male lust is inherently different than that of female lust; but I'll try to control my animal magnetism and wild masculine sex appeal for the sake of the ladies. :P

I accept the rebuke sister.

I don't mean to sound as harsh as I may have come across but that whole attitude is what causes so many women to really struggle with chastity because it's seen as though we're not supposed to.

It's one of the few articles on modesty I've ever agreed with. I've seen those "Marylike standards" thrown around a lot and they are the most ridiculous thing ever. It's that kind of "gasp, your skirt is 1mm above your ankle, you harlot!" attitude that makes me mad.

I really like the way you talk, sometimes.

I express myself in a deliberately odd and Victorian manner. It started as an affectation, but now is part of who I am. It's the most singular of things.

You spoke with clarity and assertiveness. This is your right in Christ and you and my sister Empress Marie have made me mindful of something I've never really thought about. "your urge shall be for your husband"

Very few men do think about it. Men are expected to struggle with lust. Women are expected to "lie back and think of England".

For the longest time I have struggled with lust. It isn't something that is usually talked about in the women's sessions or things like that. Many speakers focus on modesty. It ends up destroying the dignity of the woman because she is seen more as an occasion of sin than as a beautiful child of God. This is truly a tragedy.

And this would be why I do not like legalistic religion. "No temptation has seized you except what is common to man."
