Lumiere
If you are not Canadian, you may not be able to access this video: Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God This link is probably good for everyone outside of Canada: Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God
Evangetholic
As painful as watching this is I think it is important viewing. If the world is to know that this is Christ's Church then "there must be even a hint of sexual immorality among you" especially the kind that harms children, uses them for the satisfaction of adult desire, and then covers it up. (I will have a fit that will be recorded in the Guinness Record books if someone says that bullspit about teenagers not being children). I would not suggest under 18's watch it. Evangetholic
But then there's this: http://www.catholicworldreport.com/Blog/1744/a_response_to_alex_gibney_about_mea_maxima_culpa.aspx#.USRrWPJRwy4 http://www.themediareport.com/2012/08/21/mea-maxima-culpa-silence-in-the-house-of-god/ As infuriating as the sexual abuse of children is, apart from the victim's statements this film is a collection of anti-Catholic lies put together by people with agendas that are opposed to the Church. Why exactly has it been posted here? And for the love of God no one actually watch the damned (I do mean damned in the theological sense) thing. Lumiere
There is also this, but if you are outside of Canada you won't be able to see it. This is linked to in one of your above links. Aren't the victim's statements enough? Edited February 21, 2013 by Lumiere
