Luigi Posted February 19, 2013 Share Posted February 19, 2013 “Come and See†Vocation Retreat: July 26-28, 2013 The evening of Friday, July 26, through the morning of Sunday, July 28, 2013. Retreatants will stay in the monastery guest quarters, participating in Holy Mass and joining the nuns in singing the Divine Office and in other common prayers. In addition to hearing conferences on the meaning of a religious vocation and aspects of the contemplative Dominican charism, they will have the opportunity to talk with the Vocation Directress, and above all to experience the atmosphere of peace and Our Lord’s presence in Eucharistic Adoration and private prayer. There will also be time for some vocation stories and recreation with the other retreatants. Single, practicing Catholic young women, juniors in high school through age 27, who are interested in learning more about a Dominican monastic vocation are invited tocontact the Vocation Directress about attending our July 2013 Vocation Retreat. High School education at least. College or work experience welcome but not required. Good physical and psychological health. Love of the Blessed Sacrament and devotion to Our Lady. Deep desire to have a more intimate relationship with Jesus. Willingness to learn and a spirit of generosity. Fidelity to the teachings of the Church, and regular participation in her sacramental life (Holy Mass and Confession). Converts must have been Catholic for at least 3 years before entrance.
