Perhaps sew in a comb or clip.

Tried that. Sometimes I just have to not veil. It's not a sin. It won't kill me. ;)

Or perhaps you can just grow out your hair? You might as well. Once I'm president I'm enacting a law that all women except religious and women over fifty must have hair that goes past their shoulders.

What's wrong with women over 50? And growing out your hair doesn't help with veil hair.

Nothing is wrong with women over fifty. Older ladies just tend to have short hair. At least where I'm from, anyway.

I like my hair short. If it is too long it is just frizz.

Gotta get past that awkward phaze with lottsa moose

The way my curls are.... long hair and moose doesn't work.

I have curls from hell, keep experimenting.  Also, once I passed my late teens my hair seemed to respond better to things.

Not to mention it takes about 50 times longer to grow out curly hair. I keep getting tempted to go short again and then I think how long it will take to grow it out (I'm up to 6 years from the last time it was above my shoulders) and I decide not to go through with it. (I also refuse to use anything that will make my hair feel crunchy or stiff.)

THAT'S MY PROBLEM. I use mousse, but I hate it. I hate when it is crunchy.

Argan oil and Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner. I swear by them. Haven't used anything else on a daily basis for a couple years. I try to avoid things that will be drying or damaging at all costs.

ETA: The recipe I posted in the first post of this thread is also great. You only need a TINY bit of it.
