No New Nun Veil Fail + Thorn Crown Fail

So, I am really getting into video editing and learning the limitations of the software that comes with the camcorder.    I started a new thread to make sure everyone knew that there is now a playlist with several shorter clips of special moments and all of the hymns.  Plus, the playlist can easily be added to.

One of the most anticipated moments in the First Profession Mass was "How are they going to switch the veil?"   The Sisters did it perfectly as shown in my favorite title clip

                                                 "No New Nun Veil Fail"

The Sisters also exhibit perfect composure in

                                                 "Thorn Crown Fail"

See it all here on the YouTube Playlist titled, "Passionist Nun Vows".

The professional videos of the First Profession are beginning to be processed, and I will add them to my playlist on YouTube.

The producer, Father Joshua McCarty, wrote:

This last weekend I had the opportunity to film, with the good help of Nathan and Amanda Jaggers, both the profession of Sr. Cecilia Maria and to interview Sr. John Mary. While we had a set together, we went ahead and filmed some promotional material for the sisters. Here is the first short piece. The audio recording for this video clip was performed by Whitney Wynn, the sister of Sr. Cecilia Maria, in the St. Joseph Monastery Chapel. Please pray for an increase in vocations to religious life, for all our religious communities throughout the diocese!

Question...is Sr. Cecilia pinning something to her forehead?

She was pinnig the veil to her hair so it would stay on

I tried to find a picture where you could get a good look of the coif (what the cap is called), but this is the best I could find. It's not really supposed to be seen after all.

Thanks Pax! The closer I look..the more it looks like a Bobbie pin slid up the front. I was always wondering how the the front of their veil got that shape. (Correct me if im wrong) also..in NunMother's profile pic..if you do a close up, it appears that the white Veil has a seam in the back in the material.

Here is the first part of  Father Josh’s full coverage of the Mass.   Nice footage from a different angle of the chapel.

As someone who literally grew up in Liturgical Music Ministry, I tend to be very critical of the music used in Mass. But based on all the videos I've watched of Sr. Cecilia Maria's Profession Mass, I just have to say that the music is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful! I especially enjoy her sister's violin playing! I just love violins! Please keep sharing more if you can!

I agree in that the music is all very beautiful!   Sister Cecilia Maria and Mother Catherine Marie, both accomplished musicians, hand picked each song for the Mass.  SCeM's undergraduate degree was in Music, both violin performance and voice, and Classics.  She is a Latin scholar and loves Gregorian chant.  I will keep posting as time allows.  The Passionists are also working on a slide show of the Mass which should be done soon.
