macguy4143
Hey Pham!, So I'm starting to think about my profession, i have always had an act for teaching people new things. I was exposed to people with down syndrome, fragile x, autism ect. at a very young age. There is something about me that connects with these people with these developmental disabilities and throughout school i have been a part in the schools Special Education Department as a student teacher/Mentor. I really considering turning this into a profession for myself but there are a few things that scare me... first teachers really never stop going to school and taking classes, its a requirement for most states if not all of them, second, i need to go to collage longer than what i had wanted to go for ( about 6 years the get an OK pay level). So i guess I'm asking for your opinion on what you think my best choice would be and if you are a teacher or better a special ed teacher share you thoughts about teaching. thanks! :)
