Chiara Francesco
Sister Therez of the Carmelite nuns of Terre Haute creates the gowns and veils for her convent and explains the different phases of the uniform, beginning with a white head piece to ultimately embracing the black veil as a sign of martyrdom. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TO4uqHGxUiI

VeniJesuAmorMi
I just love so much how she answered when she was asked how it felt to receive the black veil: "It is like Christ on the Cross; it is accomplished. Into your hands Father. There is no more and it is forever." Also, how she talked about it being like a martyrdom, dying to yourself, and being totally selfless. There is always that longing that comes up when I see a Sister in a black veil; there is just so much meaning. It reminds me also of Our Blessed Mother; who Carmelites strive to imitate.
