IcePrincessKRS
Well Birth of Venus is not exactly the height of realism. In fact I read an entire essay one time on the numerous physical impossibilities in that painting, and their meaning in the context of the subject matter. Your geek is showing. tinytherese
Some anime can be perverted. There's clean anime though like Howl's Moving Castle.

Gabriela
the first thing i noticed was also her proportions. then how the Disney ideal of feminine beauty never seems to change. but once the story got off the ground, i noticed how theyre appealing to adults, not kids, which is new for Disney, and likely a trend that will continue, as Pixar has had success with this in the past, but Disneys been going down the tubes. then i noticed that the animate paper airplane recalls Fantasia: the old made new. and finally, having read Organizational Communication literature all day for the last two days, i couldnt help but think about how paperman's employer clearly assumes a functionalist conduit conception of communication that stifles his employees' opportunities to express their humanistic needs, which is supposed to contribute to the efficiency of the workplace, but in fact only foments employee revolt. all that aside, i thought it was kinda' cute. ;-)
