My brother's cat beats up my dog.

My friend's cat is freakin adorable and will launch itself in play and has caught mice.

Plus, they are more independant...dogs are needy.

and I didn't believe you?

Well, now I do.

My cat tipped over and broke my phatmass glass this morning. :( clearly she hates Catholicism and phatmass in particular.

I will replace your glass with a cooler drinking vessel.

A one of a kind phatmass creation

I love my cat and I am totally offended when people make nasty comments about that.  My Willie is a gift from God.

I like cats better myself. They are independent and love you because they choose to, not because they are just wired to. And they are cute!

We had this cat that always tried to get into my room and get me to pay attention to her. It was sometimes annoying, like when I was doing homework. When she died, I remember thinking that she was like God in a way, no matter how many times the door was not open, she still came back again later, meowing or plunking for the door to be opened.

Cats cause allergies.

Which lead to sinus infections.

Which lead to antibiotic use.

Which leads to yeast infections.

Which lead to strained relationships.

The world is built on relationships.

Cats destroy the world.

QED.

You could say the same thing about dogs and birds. We had the same things with dogs and a bird in a cage.

Why God Created Dogs & Cats

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to, "Where do pets come from?"

Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me everyday. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here & it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."

And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are & will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam & he wagged his tail.

And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom & I cannot think of a name for this new animal."

And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam & was a companion to him & loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content & wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord & said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts & preens like a peacock & he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well."

And the Lord said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever & who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being.

And Adam learned humility.

And God was pleased.

And Adam was greatly improved.

And Dog was happy.

And the Cat didn't give a hoot one way or the other.

LOVE it!

For what it's worth: The Hebrew word for "dog" is "kelev". Hebrew does not use vows. So, by playing very minimally on the three letters of which the Hebrew word "dog" is composed, you can understand a dog to be "kol lev"—"all heart".

So:

כלב (dog)

כל לב (all heart)

God created the world in Hebrew (at least according to the Jews), so this is surely significant.

I love kitties. Though they can sometimes be annoying and mess up my singing performances, I still love the heck out of them. My cat, Itty Bitty Kitty, has a very endearing quality about her, that quality being that she worships me. She follows me around the house everywhere I go just like a dog would. If I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I close the door and she's outside of it, she will put her paw under the door and try to open it because she hates it when I'm closed off from her. Every time I lie down to sleep she gets on my chest and purrs. She's so adorable! :kitten:
