ChristinaTherese
Peace and Good! Choicing a religious name to me I' ld prefer my Baptism name (Alberto) and another name related to Jesus Passion, such as: Br. Alberto Way-of-Cross (a devotion I love) or Br. Alberto Our Lady of Sorrows. But I am a secular Franciscan brother, so I can' t use religious name. Jesus, Mary and Francis bless you and keep you! Br. Alberto Guimaraes SFO Secular Franciscan Fraternity of Braga - Portugal Welcome to Phatmass, Brother!
NatalieisCatholic
YAY! I saw them there too! ACTUALLY: I had had a phone convo with Sr. Virginia Joy, assistant VD in the fall about my inquiry form, but since I'm a revert she told me I have to wait a few years to actually discern with them. So after the March I was at St Peter's Church and I saw a few SOLs and I went over to chat and say HI. I introduced myself (1st name) to one sister and she asked me for my second name. After telling her, she got all excited and was like, "Oh my gosh, I'm Sr. Virginia Joy, we talked over the phone! HOW ARE YOU?!" It was so awesome to finally meet her (and then Sr. Antoniana Maria!) in person! They're SOO nice! :D YAY! SOuL SISTAS! ;) They are just so amazing! :) (And their habits are so pretty! Not that I would just join an order for the habit!) A Sister at the school I went to for the beinging of high school she had the name of Sr.Immaculata and it was because of her, I seek my Beloved Christ! That's so awesome! Sr. Immaculata sounds so pretty! :)

domenica_therese
I taught Totus Tuus this past summer and one of the girls on a different team was discerning with the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara, and apparently they are really big on titles, and have a lot of names you wouldn't necessarily traditionally find. Anyway, her teammate was inventing all sorts of crazy names for her. I don't remember any specifically, but it was stuff like Sister Mary Sword of the Eradication of Heresy. As for me, the problem with the ND's is that they're so big that most of the "good" name combos are taken. :P I'm sure whatever name God wants me to have will be waiting when/if I join, but it makes it difficult to speculate without having a nun roster. FutureSister2009
Actually today I was looking up various female Saints names and I've come to an actual conclusion of Relgious Names I might want to take. If I enter with the Salesian Sisters, they do not change their names. But if I enter with the DSMMEs, then I will be able to change my name. I realized there are some amazing names of lesser known Saints. So that would make it more unique. My new official top three names are Sr. Monica Augustine (My Confirmation Saint and her son!!!) Sr. Joan Rita (St. Joan of Arc and St. Rita are amazing and Joan would also be for my grandmother) Sr. Barbara Rose (St. Barbara is also really cool and that would be for my aunt/Godmother) And then there are a few extra I came across Sr. Charitina Grace Sr. Devota Sr. Faith. And all my friends tell me that I remind them of her (I don't see what they see in me), so it seems fitting. :)
