EmilyAnn
I see a distinct lack of biscuits among those ponies. Therefore my criteria are not met. Shame on you brian!

EmilyAnn
#1 and #3 had biscuits. I will accept #1. But #3 has a croissant, not biscuits.

brianthephysicist
It's not ponies, but it may be very useful in this thread: (yes, the drink looks more like hot chocolate than tea, but the mug would work for tea)

Only it's got a little lid on the top so it keeps your drink warm AND holds biscuits!
EmilyAnn
Trying to do some embroidery...it's not working out so great. :P My current hoop is a holding hoop but I really need a seat hoop so that I have two hands free to sew. For those of you who don't know, it's something like this: But they can be expensive. Might have to be a birthday present me thinks.

MissScripture
Just read through this thread. I didn't realize you were in a long distance relationship. You have my sympathy, and if you ever want to complain and feel sorry for yourself, I will listen. It is rough. Also, from what I have read online, digestive biscuits are like Graham crackers in the US. I would love to try proper British biscuits, but I am afraid I am not a tea drinker (or coffee. Tea is more palatable than coffee, but if I were to drink a whole cup of tea it would have to mostly be milk and sugar). I had tea when I went to London in highschool, but the best we could manage for biscuits were Teddy Grahams. :hehe:Also, I found it strange that they serve beans for breakfast. It's sort-of a new thing. We went to high school together, but being 17 we never admitted how we felt to each other until last fall...like five years later. But by then we live 10,000 miles away - he is Australian. I never used to drink tea until I went on my live-in. If I didn't have a cup of tea before Vigils I felt like I was going to pass out. Then tea and coffee were at breakfast and I don't like coffee so I got into the habit of drinking tea. So do I. I don't really see how they are a breakfast food. That and stuff like haggis and black pudding. :x British people eat some weird food.

You mentioned a guy on your blog a few times back when you were discerning with St. Cecilia's, is this the same guy?

AnneLine
Prayers for you, EmilyAnn.... you and your friend. Long distance is a pain... I used to have the same kind of embroidery hoop you put up there (the one you sit on) -- they are SO practical!!!!

I used to have the same kind of embroidery hoop you put up there (the one you sit on) -- they are SO practical!!!! I know! I used one for the first time at a day course I took over the weekend (at the Royal School of Needlework no less!) and it was so much easier being able to sew with both hands.
