EmilyAnn
I've got an apple crumble to bake next, but homemade hobnobs will have to go on my list! My grandfather has apple trees so I've been restricted to apple-related baking for a few months. My freezer is full of the leftover baking since we just couldn't eat at the rate I was baking! The biscuits are no longer evading me at work so today I had shortbread with my tea...yum. Not chocolate caramel shortbread, sadly, which is my favourite thing ever. Whenever I got sad at uni I'd go to the corner store and buy a chocolate caramel shortbread tray and eat the whole thing. With chocolate milk. I do love chocolate milk. My poor grandfather was in hospital today. He fell over this morning and was then having trouble walking, so he got taken to hospital to get checked out. He's okay now - my mum was with him and said by the end of the day he was just grumpy and wanting to go home :P He's really lucky he wasn't hurt badly, since he's 90 years old! He was born when there was still Prohibition in the US, and is older than the Walt Disney Company! So it's not surprising his legs give way every now and then, but mentally he's all there. He's home now, my mum took him back this evening and we'll go check on him tomorrow. A neighbour even looked after his dog today without us asking her to, which was really nice since his dog can be a handful. I'll go visit him tomorrow and not just because he has the best biscuits... :hehe:

ChristinaTherese
Reminds me of my brother when he was little. He would pull plugs out of the wall, stick his finger between the prongs, and plug them back in. Then he would get scared of that outlet. Rinse, repeat on a different outlet. After the new outlet, he wasn't scared of the old one. Rinse, repeat, over and over and over again. Also, that's why I hated learning to spell in English. EmilyAnn
The past two days I have just not stopped!! I've been so so busy, it's crazy. FRIDAY was my 2nd Phatbirthday! 2 whole years on Phatmass...what can I say except I love you all. There may be ups and downs, but y'all are phamily :) TODAY is the 5th anniversary of my Confirmation...the feast of St. Ambrose. That's when I became Emiliana. My most abiding memory is praying that I would kneel in front of the Archbishop and get back up again without falling over and possibly with a little bit of grace. I achieved the former :P Oh, and spending WEEKS searching for a dress. White dresses are not easy to find. So all in all two quite special days :)

I have had that kind of current on my skin before, it hurts like the DICKENS. It's a good thing he had his finger touching both prongs instead of just one, or the current wouldn't have been flowing through just his finger tip, but through his whole body!
