inunionwithrome
To all who are interested: I have written a Stations of the Cross for children. While it is geared for children in grades 3-5, it could work for some up to 6th grade and below in 2nd grade. Here is a sampling of my work. If you like, you may use it freely as it is a ministry given to me by God. Let me know if you like it, and I will provide you with the rest. Sign of the Cross +In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.+ Opening Prayer: Dear Jesus, as we pray and walk this Way of the Cross with You, help us to prepare our minds and hearts. May the Holy Spirit guide us always to do Your will. Amen. +In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen+. First Station: Jesus is Condemned to Death Priest: We adore You O Christ, and we praise You. R: (Genuflect) Because by Your Holy Cross You have redeemed the world. Jesus, You were brought before Pontius Pilate to be tried as a criminal. Yet,You had done no wrong. (They) thought You were a bad man, for claiming to be the Messiah, the Son of God. Pilate did not find You guilty. But, the voice of the crowd grew louder and louder. Pilate gave in to the voice of the crowd and You were sentenced to death. Twelfth Station: Jesus Dies on the Cross Priest: We adore You O Christ and we praise You R: (Genuflect) Because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world O Jesus, You have been whipped and beaten. Your clothes have been taken from You. Your body is bruised and swollen; but because of Your great love for us, You have made this painful journey. In your weakeness, You were given wine to drink mixed with gall. And after tasting it, You did not want any more to drink of it. (Matthew 27:34) You give out a cry and take your last breath. May we forgive others just as You forgave the repentant thief. You told him, "Today, you will be with me in paradise"(Luke 23:43) "Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed His last" Mark 15:37 Life eternal, death defiant, Bowed his head ~ the world was silent, Through his death came life anew.' DiscerningCatholic
Those remind me of the Stations we did when I was little. Good stuff. And on a side note, I totally read the topic as "Stations of the Cross for Chickens." :|

DiscerningCatholic
I've read "Toll Booth Ahead" as "Troll Booth Ahead" and I've also read "Get behind Me, Satan!" as "Get behind Me, Santa!" :|
