Gabriela
Hmm. I would agree that you should ask a priest. It is a Bible. But on the other hand, it's masonic. I think the determining factor should be this: How is a masonic Bible different from a "normal" one? If it's significantly different, I can see the sense in burning it. If it's not different at all, I'd say bury it. Edited January 24, 2013 by curiousing
Groo the Wanderer
burn. if you just bury and someone digs it up, it could be a cause of scandal

Anastasia13
Burning things is fun... Yes, it is. Is a Masonic Bible really different inside, as in not just a regular new translation of the original biblical texts into modern language using as accurate if not more accurate understanding of the languages used originally? I think we had a thread on this once some time ago. IIRC, the Bible itself was of an unremarkable Protestant variety, but also that there were a few appendices with Masonic stuff. A copy of their oath or something. Nothing really major or all that interesting.

Nihil Obstat
So why the burning if it is nothing major? Because what it essentially amounts to is a defaced Bible, with heretical inserts. Burning it for a twofold reason, IMO. First is to give due respect for the actual unmolested Scripture inside. Second is to avoid passing it to anyone else, who might be affected by its Masonic additions, minor though they may be. It is not like it is some evil necronomicon that will turn someone into a devil worshipper, but its purpose as a Bible has been compromised. sixpence
yeh the cover and the first few pages were the only wacky things I noticed. The rest seemed like a legit KJV. Anyways its gone now!
